Garden Tractor Rules

Garden Tractor Class 1

1.  Weight Class 850#

2.  All engines must be naturally aspirated, 1Cylinder maximum. Diesel engines allowed.      (0-15 HP)

3.  All tractors must be equipped with wheele bars, must be rigid, and be able to support the weight of the tractor and driver. The pads or wheels must extend a minimum of 5″ beyond the furthest point of the backside of the rear tire, and a maximum of 6″ off the ground.

4.  Draw-bar length is a minimum of 6″ to a maximum of 18″ from center of rear wheel to the point of hook, Draw-bar is to be stationary in all directions and a maximum of 13″ from top of hitching device to the ground. 1 1/4″ or bigger hitch hole. 

5.  Maximum tire size is 23×12x12. A maximum tread width of 12″. Variable sized rims may be used. No solid V-tread (Cepek). Only rubber tires with air allowed

6.  Stock-type engine maximum RPM is 4000. With a steel flywheel, the RPMS’s may be increased.

7.  All tractors must have a seat, fenders,hood,and guards on belts and pulleys. All travtors must have Garden tractor appearance and be a Brand name. Over 4000 RPMS’s engine side shields of 1/8″ steel or 3/16″ alum. From bottom to 4 1/2″ above center-line of crank, and min. of 7″ wide . Clutch 360 degree shield  1/8″ steel or 3/16″ alum. Drive belt 180 degree top

8.  Frount weight may extend 2″ in frount of the main frame. Rear weights as long as they don’t interfere with the hook up

9. Judges, flagmen, and sled operators have final say on sate on all tractors.

 

Garden Tractor Class 2

1.  Weight Class 1050#

2.  All engines must be naturally aspirated, 1Cylinder maximum. Diesel engines allowed.      (0-15 HP)

3.  All tractors must be equipped with wheele bars, must be rigid, and be able to support the weight of the tractor and driver. The pads or wheels must extend a minimum of 5″ beyond the furthest point of the backside of the rear tire, and a maximum of 6″ off the ground.

1.  Weight Class 1200#

2.  All engines that are 0-20 HP. Diesel engines allowed.      

3.  All tractors must be equipped with wheele bars, must be rigid, and be able to support the weight of the tractor and driver. The pads or wheels must extend a minimum of 5″ beyond the furthest point of the backside of the rear tire, and a maximum of 6″ off the ground.
